Car Hire Kos

Kos is one of the most popular tourist islands in the Mediterranean and with good reason. There’s a lot to see and do as well as simply enjoying the beautiful beaches.

On holiday you can either have the convenience of getting around with your own hire car or instead try out local transport. Whilst the latter can be fun, it’s also slow, hot and grubby so why not let us find you low cost Kos or Kos Airport car hire and help you to enjoy your trip around the island better.

No other car hire company gives you so much choice of hire cars on Kos because we work with all the top Kos hire car companies to bring you the widest range and latest deals.

Driving Guide & Places To Go in Kos

The island has 112km of coastline and most of that fringed with beautiful golden beaches. With your hire car you should be able to find a different and equally beautiful beach every day of your holiday.

Kos Town is a busy and bustling centre with many archaeological sites to be seen dating from Greek and Roman times. The Knights Hospitaller of Rhodes also had a base in the city in the castle which stands still today despite many invasions and earthquakes.

If you fancy a thermal bath, head for the aptly named Thermae beyond the cape at Agios Fokas. There on the beach, hot springs with water up to 50C bubble out and you can bathe in the water before it enters the sea.

If you are a keen sailor, Kos is the place to go as it has many sailing centres and the waters are calm all along the Turkish coast. If you want to set foot on Turkish soil, you can take the ferry over from Kos to Bodrum where you’ll find plenty of little stalls on the quayside ready to take your euros.

Closest Airports for Kos

Several airlines; Olympic, Sky Express and Aegean offer year round flights but the majority into Kos are summer seasonal when the numbers of passengers arriving and departing swells significantly. The airport is some distance from Kos Town and in a hire car from Kos Airport you should take the Ko-Kefalu road northeast to get to the town in around forty minutes.

Some find Bodrum Airport in Turkey an easier route, taking the hydrofoil across from the mainland.
